  • ISRO created history by making a record launch of 104 satellites in a single mission.
  • These satellites were launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre. Out of these 104 satellites , only 3 were indian satellites.

  • Bharat QR(Quick Response) code has been launched by Union Government with the aim of enabling efficient digital payments It is interoperable payment acceptance solution, first of its kind in the world.
  • Bharat QR code is jointly developed by  National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), MasterCard, Visa and American Express.

89th Academy Awards Highlights.

  • 89th Academy Awards also known as Oscar Awards ceremony  was held at the Dolby Theatre.  The award is presented in 24 categories.
  • La La Land won a total of six awards, maximum number of awards. Best Picture: Moonlight.
  • Best Actress: Emma Stone (La La Land).
  • Best Actor: Casey Affleck (Manchester By The Sea).
  • Om Puri, Carrie Fisher, Bill Paxton and Debbie Reynolds were honoured and remembered at the Oscars.
